Dear valued SF Aesthetic and Laser Center patients and families,
At your next visit, you may notice a few changes as we update some protocols to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Our office will contact you before your appointment to screen you confirming you are healthy enough to proceed with your planned visit to our office to receive elective treatment. We ask that you reschedule your appointment with us if you have traveled out of the country within the last 14 days, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have a known exposure to COVID-19. Please call us at if you have any questions regarding our guidelines.
We’re performing health screenings daily for all patients and staff (including Dr Tsai).
We’ve increased sanitization efforts. All treatment rooms and common spaces are thoroughly sanitized every 30 minutes and in between each patient visit.
We’re enforcing social distancing and minding the capacity guidelines, as recommended.
Please migrate your Brilliant Distinctions account to Allergan’s new loyalty program ALLE. Or, redeem your Aspire rewards before your appointment. Go to Alle.com or Aspirerewards.com or to migrate or redeem rewards (or sign up!) ahead of time so that we may apply the discount to your treatment. They both have mobile APPS.
Any patient entering the office MUST wear a face covering / mask. We require this to enter our practice. This also includes children over the age of four. Children must stay with their parents during their visit. If there is a medical reason you or your child cannot wear a mask, please communicate with us at time of pre screening for your appointment.
A staff member will come and greet you upon entering the office. We will ensure you are wearing a mask before directing you to a treatment room where you can wash your hands with soap and water or sanitizer, which we will have available throughout the office.
For patients who require topical numbing prior to laser hair removal, please note you will now have to do so from home. Dr. Tsai can prescribe EMLA upon request. This does not apply to topical numbing for other procedures.
Our premises and all instruments are disinfected or sterilized throughout the day in treatment rooms, reception and bathroom; this protocol includes cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces, including exam tables, chairs, keyboards, computers, chin/arm rests, and handles.
In the reception area, treatment rooms and restroom we will no longer offer communal items such as magazines, beverages, refreshments, pens, product testers, brochures, makeup wipes, lotion or other such items that may be handled by multiple people and are difficult to disinfect.
To comply with social distancing recommendations, we have reorganized our office in such a way to maintain physical distance between staff and patients. In addition, to limit the number of people in our practice at a given time, only the patient(s) will be allowed in the office at time of appointment. We respectfully ask you to have guests wait in the car or outside of office. We regret to inform you that we can no longer accommodate pets visiting in office. We hope that you understand. It makes us sad, too!
Appointments will be continued to be managed to allow for appropriate social distancing between patients. This may mean you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. Thank you for your continued understanding with respect to the availability of certain types of appointments.
We appreciate your patience as we adhere to these guidelines. We know it is an adjustment for us all. If you have any questions in regards to these new protocols, please feel free to reach out to us.

If you are unable to make your appointment, please provide 48 hours notice to avoid a late cancellation charge. We appreciate your help in keeping our schedule up to date and accurate so we can accommodate patients who might be waiting for an appointment. All appointments are reserved with a credit card or debit card number to be kept on file to ensure that patients cancel or reschedule their appointments within the 48 hour time frame. We charge $100 for no shows and $75 for late cancellations for weekend appointments.
