Sunscreen is THE most important gift you can give to your skin.
Too much sun exposure over time makes the skin age more quickly. The UVA “aging” rays that cause wrinkles, sagging and brown spots are ever present, regardless of weather, climate or season. UVB “burning” rays can cause sunburns and skin cancer.
Daily use of broad spectrum SPF 30 or higher sunscreen is one of the best defenses against sun related skin cancer and premature skin aging. Zinc oxide, a natural mineral compound, blocks the widest spectrum of UVA and UVB rays, protecting your skin from this damage. Zinc is safe for even the most sensitive skin types.
EltaMD has been developing and formulating sun and skin products for more than 25 years. Their broad-spectrum sunscreens contain zinc oxide. Because zinc maintains its protective ability in the sun, it is more photostable than some chemical ingredients that may degrade. Zinc reflects and reduces the broadest range of UVA and UVB rays.
